No. 25 | Create anyway

Reader,

I stumbled upon a delightful quote last week:

What you create, others can destroy. Create anyway. Because in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and anyone else anyway.

They're the final lines of a prayer, written by a mother for her son. (You can find them in Beartown, a novel by Fredrick Backman.)

As 2024 draws to a close, and as I take a holiday hiatus from this newsletter, I offer these lines to you, along with two questions:

  1. What are you creating?
  2. What will it look like for you to "create anyway" in 2025?

You don't have to share your answers (though I'd love to hear them). But I hope that you'll ponder them as you navigate this holiday season and walk into a new calendar year.

Keep your stick on the ice.

Frank.
